How the treatment works
We use the American made Cynosure Laser that has been used in the aesthetic industry for the last 30 years. It is one of the most widely used laser machines in the industry, and is used across numerous private hospitals as well as being one of the most popular lasers in the aesthetics industry.
The Cynosure Elite laser has the option of two types of laser, the Alexandrite that is best for lighter hair types, and the NdYAG laser that is safer for darker skin types.
Within each of these laser types, the energy output can be adjusted and fine tuned according to specific skin and hair types, that means we adjust the settings to best target finer or coarse hairs. We pass the laser over the skin and the laser light heats the hair follicles under the skin. The aim is to destroy the hair follicles.
Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent? Some of your body areas such as underarms, bikini and lower legs areas will not regrow hair after a course of treatments, whereas other body areas such as thighs, women’s facial hair and some torso areas may regrow finer hair but will be reduced and slower.
It’s difficult to predict how many laser treatments are needed, but it can range from 4 to 12 sessions depending on the quantity of hair and body area.
A common question we are asked is, ‘Is laser hair treatment painful’? The comfort level varies a lot from person to person and depends on the body area. However, the skin surface is kept cool and comfortable using a special cold air system.
