Alicia Trenchard

I have been working in the beauty and aesthetic industry since 1996. My career started as a co-owner of a central London based salon specialising in male grooming. I was there for 6 years and during this time we developed the treatment offering to include laser, microdermabrasion and chemical peels.

In 2002, I became a Technical Director and Trainer for a leading chain with 14 clinics in central London. I was responsible for the design and implementation of all training programmes for employees, including beauty therapists, nurses and doctors. This role enabled me to further explore my interest in beauty technology, gadgets and the advancements within the industry, whilst ensuring that staff could carry out safe and effective treatments.

In 2010, I set up an independent salon in Buckinghamshire which provides access to cutting-edge aesthetic treatments. I always strive to find the best treatments that deliver results for my clients. I’ve worked with many skincare brands over the years and select what I believe to be the most effective ‘Hero’ products. I especially like cosmetics that are free of chemical ingredients but have high levels of actives.

Tayla Williams – Aesthetic Nurse and Beauty Therapist

Tayla at iQ Skin Laser

I qualified in Beauty Therapy Level 3 in 2015 (QCF VTCT) whilst working at a beauty salon providing treatments such as waxing, eyebrow and eyelash enhancements, facials, microdermabrasion, manicures and pedicures.

After qualifying, I began my aesthetics career working in a doctor led clinic where I carried out treatments such as, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, skin peels, microneedling, ultrasound body contouring and radio frequency skin tightening.

I also assisted the doctors with minor surgeries and injectable aesthetic treatments. With this clinical experience, I became even more passionate about aesthetics, and with my core ethics being client safety in an industry that isn’t well regulated, I decided to take my career further and train as a registered nurse to specialise in Aesthetic Nursing.

Whilst working for the NHS and training on the job, I have continued offering beauty treatments part time.

In 2021, I qualified as an NMC registered Nursing Associate (FdSc) and I’m currently undertaking the final year of my nursing degree. My ambition since I set out on this journey almost 10 years ago is to always seek the best education within the aesthetics industry.

I am passionate about bringing clients more advanced anti-aging treatments and, once fully qualified as a registered nurse in 2023, I look forward to also offering injectable treatments.

With 9 years of healthcare and 4 years of aesthetics experience, I continue to work for the NHS whilst offering advanced aesthetic services at IQ Skin and Laser, where I have been working with Alicia since 2021.
